D9112 Monthly’s September Rotarian of the Month combines more than 28 years of professional excellence with a growing record of dedicated Rotary service.
Rotarian Emeka Kenneth Nsolibe’s life and career reflect a man driven by professional excellence, continuous improvement and a commitment to serving others. A seasoned supply chain professional with more than 28 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, he has built a career around delivering complex projects while bringing the same discipline and sense of responsibility to his Rotary journey.
Born on 8th April 1971 to Mr Julius Chukwuma and the late Mrs Agnes Nsolibe of Umuezenkaram, Ubahuekwem, Ihiala, in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nsolibe, who holds the traditional title Nwachinemere Ihiala, has steadily distinguished himself in both his professional and service pursuits.
His educational journey began at New Haven Primary School, Enugu, before he proceeded to Christ the King College, Onitsha, where he was a member of the 1988 class. He later obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Enugu State University of Science and Technology and an MBA from the National Open University of Nigeria. His pursuit of professional development also took him to Michigan State University in the United States, where he earned a Diploma in Supply Chain.
Over the years, Nsolibe has developed extensive expertise across purchasing, expediting, supplier quality, shipping and logistics, contracts and materials management. He currently serves as Regional Procurement Manager for Africa at TechnipFMC.
Before joining TechnipFMC as Procurement Manager, he served as Logistics/Material Coordinator at AMEC Contractors W/A Ltd on the ExxonMobil MIPS EPCM2 Project. His career has also included roles with Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company as Material Controller and AMEC Contractors W/A Ltd on the SNEPCO Bonga Project as Project Lead Buyer.
His professional standing is further reflected in his affiliations. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, UK; the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Nigeria; and a Fellow of the African Centre for Supply Chain.
Beyond the corporate world, however, service has become an important part of Nsolibe’s story.
He joined the Rotary Club of Victoria Garden City during the 2017–18 Rotary year and has since taken on several responsibilities within his club and the district. His Rotary service has included serving as Club Service Projects Chair in 2018–19, Club Vice President in 2023–24 and Club Foundation Chair in 2025–26. He also served as a member of the District Governor Installation Committee in 2023–24 and has participated in ROSFEST for the past three years.
These responsibilities speak to a Rotarian who sees service not merely as an obligation but as an opportunity to contribute meaningfully wherever he finds himself.
Nsolibe is described as honourable, easy-going, consistent, trustworthy and compassionate. He has a disposition towards looking beyond what is already known or accepted to identify new possibilities, while finding fulfilment in helping and serving others. His patient, approachable and unassuming personality complements a willingness to go the extra mile in support of the values and causes he believes in.
That philosophy of constant improvement is perhaps best captured in one of his guiding thoughts: “If you think of standardisation as the best that you know today, but which is to be improved tomorrow, you get somewhere.”
Away from work and Rotary, Nsolibe is a family man. He is married to Ebele Nsolibe, and their union is blessed with three children — Shaun, Kamsi and Joseph. He is also a member of the Knights of St John International.
For a professional whose career has been built around ensuring that people, materials and systems work effectively towards a common objective, Nsolibe’s approach to Rotary appears to follow a similar principle: identify what needs to be done, contribute meaningfully and continually seek ways to make things better.
It is this combination of professional accomplishment, dependable service and commitment to others that earns Rotarian Emeka Kenneth Nsolibe recognition as D9112 Monthly’s Rotarian of the Month for September.
