Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa issued a birthday message to Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, as she turned 66, in remarks that now travel under every headline built around Obasa Oluremi Tinubu praise.

The statement was released by Chief Press Secretary Dave Agboola on behalf of Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa’s family, colleagues and Assembly staff.

Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa called Senator Oluremi Tinubu a mentor whose years in office remain “a masterclass in purposeful public service.”

Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa said the Lagos Assembly still draws on her time as First Lady of Lagos State, and on the political guidance that followed.

“Your transition from the state level to becoming a three-term Senator and now the First Lady of the Republic has been a masterclass in purposeful public service,” Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa said.

He pointed to the Renewed Hope Initiative as the work that, in his view, has given the Office of the First Lady a clearer public face.

He cited ₦50,000 grants to women petty traders across the six geopolitical zones, with freezers, generators and grinding machines issued as livelihood tools.

He also named the Emergency Cash Transfer Programme and HOPE-SP as welfare schemes aimed at vulnerable households.

On education, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa mentioned the renovated Alternative High School for Girls in Agboju, Lagos, and the “Educating Linda” drive, which he said has put more than 140,000 educational books into circulation. He added the national RHI Green Nigeria Challenge as her youth climate brief.
