Oluwafunmilayo Ajasa has alleged that she shouldered the financial responsibilities of her marriage to Nigerian rapper Olusegun Osaniyi, popularly known as Lord of Ajasa, claiming she paid the household bills despite her husband’s reported earnings in the United States.
In a statement attributed to her, Funmi said she covered major expenses, including the mortgage, gas, electricity and insurance, while questioning how long she would have to continue dealing with financial disputes in the marriage.
“How long do I have to fight with Lord Ajasa over a bill? I was the breadwinner in our marriage. I paid the mortgage, gas, electric, insurance, every single bill,” she was quoted as saying.
She further claimed that the rapper worked full-time in the US and earned between $30,000 and $50,000 monthly, but was frequently short of money.
According to her account, his credit card payments were overdue and his car payments had fallen behind, leaving her questioning his financial situation.
Funmi also alleged that she was unaware that her husband had married another woman and applied for US citizenship.
The allegations have emerged shortly after reports that Lord of Ajasa had become a United States citizen. The rapper recently announced his new status on social media, sharing images and videos from the occasion alongside his wife.
