The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has reported that 62 people were killed and 52 others injured in a bandit attack on Binnari community in Taraba State.

The attack, which occurred on 23 October 2026, also affected 7,123 people and displaced 5,187 residents in Muri C Ward, Karim-Lamido Local Government Area.

NEMA disclosed the figures in a statement on Tuesday, following a preliminary report received from the Taraba State Emergency Management Agency (TSEMA).
