Former Governor of Ogun State, Otunba Gbenga Daniel on Tuesday received the management of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) on a Courtesy visit at his Asoludero Sagamu residence.
The Management which was led by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar and other top management staff of the institution came to invite the former Governor ahead of the institution’s 16th anniversary later in the year.
The VC eulogized Otunba Daniel for the foresightedness in establishing the institution in 2005.
Tai Solarin University of Education is the first of its kind in Nigeria, second in Africa, and the 8th in the world.
While welcoming the visitors, Otunba Gbenga Daniel encouraged the management to sustain the legacy of the founding fathers of the state and keep the standard high describing the state as the education capital of the country.
Earlier, the former Governor, who is also the the Asiwaju of Remo Christians had attended the official inauguration of the Bible Society of Nigerian at Rev Mellor Methodist Cathedral in Agbowa, Sagamu.
