He was perplexed as to why Uche Secondus has taken so long to seek a halt to the process, which had been communicated to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) by the party’s acting national chairman, Yemi Akinwonmi, to whom Secondus duly handed over control.
The judge also determined that Secondus did not object to the acting chairman’s notice of the convention to INEC, nor did he object to INEC responding to the PDP through the acting chairman.
All whilst, Secondus’ lawyer, Tayo Oyetibo, stated that his client will wait for the outcome of the main suit on his status as the chairman and a member of the party before the same court to decide whether or not to appeal.
He, on the other hand, insisted that a favorable outcome for his client would undoubtedly have an impact on the Abuja convention.
