The Serie A club announced on Monday that Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the AC Milan striker, will be sidelined for at least ten days after suffering a muscular injury during the weekend’s 3-1 league victory over Napoli.

The Serie A leaders earned their first league victory in Naples in more than ten years as the 39-year-old scored twice before getting hurt.

Romelu Lukaku scored three goals in the match for Belgium, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic was added late. Ibrahimovic had a muscular injury to his right thigh, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia.

According to reports, he will need between 10 and 15 days to fully recuperate from the injuries. After his prior extended nine-month absence from the field, this can be seen as a setback.

Ibrahimovic could also miss the final group game against Sparta Prague. Milan is second in Group H with two wins out of three matches. The Serie A leaders have 20 points after eight league games and face 15th-placed Fiorentina on Sunday.
