Rotary District 9112 Governor Rtn. Layi Abidoye has formally launched the ambitious Media Center Project on 1 July 2026, aiming to raise N50 million for a world-class facility that will amplify Rotary’s stories of service across Lagos and beyond
Rotarian Olayioye “Layi” Abidoye, the newly installed 3rd Governor of Rotary International District 9112, formally launched the District 9112 Media Center Project on Tuesday 1 July 2026 at the District Office in Ikeja, Lagos. The initiative marks a significant step in strengthening public image and communication for the district and its 90 clubs.
The project seeks to raise N50 million within 30 days to establish a state-of-the-art Media Center equipped with a broadcast studio, editing suite, digital imaging suite, and information centre.

This facility will provide professional support in content creation, press releases, design, and media engagement for all clubs in the district.
Speaking at the launch, Governor Abidoye emphasised the need for Rotary to move beyond working in silence. He described the Media Center as a lasting investment in Rotary’s voice, enabling the district to better inform, inspire, and expand its impact in communities.
Present at the formal launch were key members of the Public Image Committee, including Past Assistant Governor Chinedu Ebo, Chairman of the Public Image Committee, PAG Tony Eigbokan, District Executive Secretary, and Rotarian Victor Ojelabi, Deputy Chairman of the Public Image Committee.
The campaign invites Rotarians and friends of Rotary to subscribe at N50,000 per person, targeting 1,000 participants.
Funds are to be paid to Keystone Bank Plc, Account Name: Rotary International District 9112, Account Number: 1005315018. Contributors are requested to forward their details and proof of payment to PAG Chinedu Ebo or Rotarian Victor Ojelabi for acknowledgement.

The proposed Media Center is designed to be self-sustaining, offering ongoing services to clubs while generating revenue through partnerships and facility usage.
