The Minister assured citizens that the federal government is implementing urgent measures aimed at improving electricity supply in the coming weeks.
He said Nigerians should expect noticeable improvements soon as efforts intensify to stabilise the national grid.
The apology follows persistent epileptic power supply across the country, which has disrupted economic activities and daily life.
Reports indicate that gas suppliers have reduced supply to thermal power plants, leading to a decline in electricity generation nationwide.
The situation has forced several power plants to shut down due to inadequate gas availability.
Earlier updates from the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) confirmed a sharp drop in electricity generation on the national grid.
The operator noted that the available power output had fallen below expected capacity due to ongoing gas supply constraints.
Energy stakeholders have repeatedly warned that without urgent intervention, the situation could worsen further.
The Minister’s apology is seen as a response to growing public frustration over the continued instability in electricity supply across the country.
