According to a letter issued by Caramel’s legal representatives, Astar allegedly published a series of social media posts accusing Caramel of theft, owing debts, falsely portraying a wealthy lifestyle and relying on another person’s money to fund her activities.
The letter further alleged that the posts contained threats to release private content relating to Caramel and to have her arrested upon her arrival in Lagos.
Caramel’s lawyers described the allegations as false, malicious and damaging to her reputation, arguing that the claims had the potential to undermine her personal and professional standing.
The legal team demanded that Astar immediately delete the disputed posts and refrain from making any further accusations or threats against their client.
They also requested a public retraction of the statements and a formal apology.
In addition, the lawyers warned Astar to cease all forms of harassment, intimidation or attacks directed at Caramel.
According to the letter, failure to comply with the demands within seven days could result in the commencement of legal proceedings.

The proposed action would seek ₦100 million in damages for alleged defamation, alongside additional legal costs and other remedies that may be available under the law.
A notable aspect of the dispute is the warning that criminal proceedings could also be explored depending on the outcome of the matter.
The lawyers stated that court action would become necessary if the demands were ignored or if further allegedly defamatory content was published.
The development has attracted attention on social media, where supporters of both parties have continued to debate the allegations and the potential legal consequences.
As of the time of filing this report, there was no public indication that Astar had responded to the demands contained in the letter.
