The company said it joined the global observance in line with the 2026 theme, “Families, Inequalities and Child Wellbeing,” which draws attention to the daily challenges faced by families and the importance of inclusive development.
Speaking on behalf of the organisation, Managing Director Seleem Adegunwa said family support remains central to national growth and long-term stability.
He noted that inequality in access to nutrition, education, healthcare, and opportunity continues to affect children disproportionately.
Adegunwa stressed that every child deserves the chance to thrive regardless of background.
He added that the company remains committed to producing quality food and beverage products that support everyday family needs across Nigeria.
The Managing Director highlighted that Rite Foods continues to position its operations around social impact, aligning its business model with broader community development goals.
Also speaking, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Ekuma Eze called for collective action among businesses, policymakers, and communities to reduce inequality and strengthen child wellbeing outcomes.
Eze stated that meaningful progress requires shared responsibility. He noted that corporate organisations must go beyond product delivery to contribute to environments where families feel supported and empowered.
Rite Foods Limited, known for its wide portfolio including Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks, Fearless Energy Drinks, Sosa Fruit Drink, Bigi Premium Table Water, Rite Spicy, Bigi Beef, and Bigi Flex Sausages, said its products remain part of daily life for millions of Nigerian households.
