Doris Ogah, a lawyer from the South-South region, emerged as the winner of the 45th edition of Miss Nigeria, securing the prestigious crown early today.
Ogah, who initially joined the competition as one of the 20 finalists, impressed the judges with her intelligence, confidence, and poise, advancing to the top 10.
The final round saw Ogah compete against a talented group of finalists, including Ann Eneanya, Abosede Sorinola, Oluwatofunmi Adekola, Praise Obafemi, Diane Paul, Simeon Obianujuwa, Faith Ogbele, Divine Nelson, and Oluwabukumi Ogunsanya. During a crucial question-and-answer session, the finalists were asked how they would use their platform to address the challenges faced by Nigerian youth. Ogah’s response stood out, earning her the title of Miss Nigeria.
The victory marks a significant milestone in Ogah’s pageantry journey, which began with her strong performance among the 20 contestants. As the new Miss Nigeria, she is poised to champion the causes affecting the nation’s youth, particularly in areas of education, empowerment, and social development.
Ann Eneanya, Divine Nelson, Diane Paul, Oluwabukumi Ogunsanya and Ogar progressed to the top 5 finalists.
After asking them the final question, the judges announced Ogar as the winner of the 45th Miss Nigeria.
In her valedictory speech, the outgone 44th Miss Nigeria, Shatu Garko, congratulated her successor, advising her to maximise her reign for the betterment of humanity.
