The delegation included Managing Director Abdul Mutallab Mukhtar and Executive Director of Operations Emeka Henry Inegbu, who held discussions with Chinese counterparts on scalable housing solutions designed to address Nigeria’s widening accommodation gap.
Central to the engagement was the adoption of modular and prefabricated construction technologies, which officials say could transform housing delivery by reducing costs, improving efficiency, and accelerating project timelines across urban and rural areas.
Nigeria’s housing shortage, estimated in the millions, continues to place pressure on infrastructure planning and urban development.
The latest discussions form part of government efforts to introduce industrialised construction methods supported by international collaboration.

The delegation also explored partnerships with leading engineering, procurement, and construction firms to strengthen delivery capacity for large-scale social housing projects across the country.
Financing talks were also held with potential partners to attract long-term investment into affordable housing programmes for low and middle income earners.
The meetings were facilitated by Joerno Conceptions Limited and the E-Link Group in China, with support from the China-Africa Economic and Trade Enterprises Working Committee, represented by Executive Deputy Director Zou Gang.
Officials involved in the discussions described the engagement as a significant and forward-looking step towards practical cooperation, combining technical expertise, investment mobilisation, and policy alignment to achieve measurable outcomes.
