Nkubi wife doctor allegation surfaces as she claims medical staff suggested sperm donor and traumatized her over child’s condition
The wife of Nigerian media personality Victor Udochukwu Nwaogu, popularly known as Nkubi, has alleged that a doctor advised her to conceive a child with another man during her pregnancy, describing the experience as shocking and discriminatory.

In a video shared by Pulse Nigeria on Instagram on Wednesday, she said the remark followed an abnormality scan and a discussion regarding a family history of dwarfism.
She recalled that after confirming her husband carried the trait, the doctor allegedly suggested she should have considered conceiving with her brother-in-law, another man, or using a sperm donor.
“When I did my abnormality scan and I handed it to the doctor, the doctor was like, ‘Does anyone have any trait of dwarfism in your family?’
I said yes, I told him ‘my husband,’ so the doctor said, ‘Why didn’t you go to your brother-in-law or go outside to get pregnant instead of getting pregnant for your husband or even got a sperm donor? Yes, that is what a doctor told me,’” she said.
She further alleged that postnatal care was equally distressing. According to her, a nurse described her child’s condition as spiritual and attempted to introduce her to a pastor for prayers.
“That nurse traumatised me throughout my stay after care, after birth care. The woman told me that this is spiritual and that she has a pastor who can pray for my child so she can live,” she said.
Reacting to the claims, Nkubi emphasised that anyone can give birth to a child with dwarfism and warned against mocking individuals with the condition.
“But it has nothing to do with religion. Anybody can give birth to a little person. You might have all the fun you want today by saying, ‘Look at them, they are short,’ but it could hit you tomorrow,” he said.
