Ogun tragedy: Woman, son and man found dead in in residential home

Police probe Ogun triple death mystery after a woman, her son, and a man were found dead inside a home in Ijebu Igbo

Residents of the Egbe Subair area near the residence of the late Buruji Kashamu have been thrown into shock following the discovery of three lifeless bodies inside a residential building.

The deceased, identified as a woman, her son, and a man known locally as Ope, also called “Shanko,” were found under circumstances that have triggered widespread concern and speculation within the community.

Preliminary accounts from the scene suggest that the woman and her boyfriend were discovered dead inside a toilet, while the woman’s son was found lifeless in another room within the same building.

Disturbing observations from the environment indicated signs of possible struggle, with damaged items reportedly found in parts of the house, deepening concerns about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Unconfirmed reports within the community have raised suspicions of possible poisoning, although authorities have not verified the cause of death.

Security operatives, including police officers, have since cordoned off the area and launched an investigation aimed at establishing what led to the tragic discovery.

Residents gathered in large numbers at the scene, expressing shock and calling for a thorough and transparent probe into the incident, which has sent waves of grief through the neighbourhood.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement confirming the cause of death or the identities of those involved at the time of filing this report.

The bodies have been evacuated and deposited at a morgue for further examination as investigations continue.
