Saka Aliyat emerges best graduating student at CIDS Obosi, Anambra, winning top awards across subjects and discipline categories
Saka Aliyat best graduating student of the Choice De Immaculate Demonstration School (CIDS), Obosi, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, has made history by clinching the school’s top academic honour.

Aliyat, an indigene of Osun State, excelled beyond expectations to claim multiple subject prizes, including Igbo Language, English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Economics and Marketing, during the school’s 15th Valedictory and Prize-Giving Ceremony.
The Yoruba student also received several character-based distinctions, winning awards for Neatest and Complete Uniform, Affinity to Students, Most Hardworking Student, Most Disciplined, and Most Punctual.
Beaming with joy as she received her plaques and gifts, Aliyat encouraged her peers to remain focused and dedicated in their academic journey.
She urged students to embrace diligence, discipline and enthusiasm, and to respect the guidance of their teachers and school leadership.
“Focus on your studies with interest, dedication and hard work,” she advised. “Listen to your teachers and the Director, who has been my mentor. That’s how to come out in flying colours.”
Earlier, the Director of CIDS, Solomy Ochokwu, commended the graduating students for their perseverance and reminded them of the importance of courage, resilience and integrity as they step into a new phase of life.
“We are confident that as you embark on your next chapter, you will do so with boldness and purpose,” Ochokwu said. “The world will test you, so wear the armour of resilience. Fight back with integrity, honesty, and a strong work ethic.”
She urged the graduates to hold fast to the morals and values instilled in them at CIDS, adding that true success comes from character and gratitude.
“Remember to look back with gratitude, especially to your parents, who supported you throughout your education. Honour them, and your blessings will be unending,” she concluded.
