[dropcap]A[/dropcap]s the US election campaign intensifies, rapper Cardi B has responded to recent criticism from tech billionaire Elon Musk, who referred to her as a “puppet” after she voiced her support for Kamala Harris in opposition to Donald Trump.

In a video circulating online, the singer appeared fidgety due to a malfunctioning teleprompter, which Musk criticised as an example of inauthenticity in the Kamala Harris campaign.
“Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words.
“The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy,” Elon wrote.

Responding to Musk’s critique, she defended her right to speak up against Trump’s potential return to office, citing her personal experiences as a product of the American struggle.
The singer also reminded the tech billionaire to fix her algorithms.

“I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm,” she responded.
