Modupe Odele, an #EndSARS advocate, has given an update on the arrested and detained 22year old Segun Oyewale over his membership of #EndSARS WhatsApp group.

Yesterday, a SOS call was made over the popular microblogging site, Twitter, by a handle Iyalode Canada (@Anumercy20) demanding for the release of Oyewale. It was alleged that he has been detained for 10days as at Monday, November 9, 2020.

She wrote:

“Please i need your help. Segun Oyewale was arrested and detained for 10days just because he was added to endsars WhatsApp group. They’ve transferred him to ilesha prison today as a suspect for killing and looting in Osogbo. He was in Lagos through out the end sars protest. So the allegations is a blunt lie. Please help us. He’s just 22yrs old, NOUN graduate. My heart bleeds. He was not even around. We plead in the name of God, please help us. @mrmacaronii, @fkabudu, @Mochievous, @falzthebahdguy”

In her response to the tag, Odele, with Twitter handle @Mochievous, assured that a lawyer is working on his bail application.

She wrote:

“Update on Segun. We’ve been told his family already got him a lawyer and the lawyer is working on his bail application. Additionally, the pro bono committee of the NBA (Osogbo Branch) are also on it. We will be monitoring closely as well & will update as things progress.”
