The Group Chief Executive of Oando Group described the late leader as a man whose life was anchored in service, discipline, and an enduring belief in the nation he led.
“Today, we bid farewell to a man whose life was defined by service, discipline, an unwavering commitment to Nigeria,” Tinubu wrote in a statement.
According to him, Buhari’s leadership journey—from military rule to two consecutive terms as a democratically elected president—was marked by a fierce dedication to public service and reform.
His record, Tinubu noted, included strong anti-corruption policies, security strategies, and a focused drive for national self-reliance.

“His leadership, from the military era to his two-term democratic presidency, leaves a legacy marked by a fierce anti-corruption stance, decisive security efforts, and an earnest pursuit of self-reliance through numerous reforms.”

As a business leader, Tinubu also reflected on Buhari’s economic legacy and policy direction.

“I had the honour of witnessing his belief in Nigeria—in our capacity to rise, to reform, and to thrive. May history remember him kindly,” he added.
