The video sparked widespread concern as the individuals claimed they were recruited as miners under false pretenses.

The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria responded swiftly, issuing a statement on Saturday expressing deep concern and promising to uncover the truth.

“The Chinese government consistently mandates that all Chinese enterprises and citizens operating abroad strictly comply with local laws,” the statement emphasized.

This declaration highlights China’s stance on ethical international business practices.

The Chinese Embassy Nigeria investigation will involve close cooperation with Nigerian authorities. The Embassy stressed its commitment to ensuring the protection of citizens’ legal rights from both nations. Companies found responsible will be urged to act responsibly.
