Fabrizio Romano reported that Flick said: “I think Lamine Yamal is ready for tomorrow. He’s been working very well, and I’m pleased with that. I think it was good for him to rest from games these past two weeks.”
The break allowed Yamal to recover both physically and mentally, and Flick praised the forward’s progress in training.
His return provides a timely boost for Barcelona as the club navigates a crucial stretch of fixtures in La Liga and the Champions League.
Flick also provided updates on other key players. Winger Raphinha has returned to full fitness and will start from the bench, while midfielder Pedri continues to progress in his recovery, with his availability for the upcoming clash against Chelsea still uncertain.
“These past weeks have been important for players to recover and prepare,” Flick said. “It is crucial to manage minutes and ensure everyone is ready physically and mentally as we move into a busy period of matches.”
