Ojo Samuel, 39, arraigned in Ado-Ekiti court for allegedly converting N10 million from COZY Lounge to personal use; pleads not guilty
A 39-year-old man, Ojo Samuel, appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday over an alleged N10 million fraud.

The defendant, who has no fixed address, faces a one-count charge of fraud. Prosecutor ASP Akinwale Oriyomi told the court that Samuel allegedly committed the offence between May 23, 2025, and January 2026 in Ado-Ekiti.
Oriyomi explained that Samuel, an employee of COZY Lounge, fraudulently converted N10 million to his personal use by failing to deposit the money into the lounge’s account, which was registered under Mr Michael Adesina.
The offence contravenes Section 295 and is punishable under Section 302(6) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021. The prosecutor requested an adjournment to study the file and assemble witnesses.
The defendant pleaded not guilty, and his lawyer, Mr Femi Olarewaju, requested bail, assuring the court Samuel would not abscond.

Chief Magistrate Mr Abayomi Adeosun granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to March 16 for hearing.
