The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has dismissed reports alleging manipulation of the corporate records of DAAR Communications Plc on its online portal, insisting that all company data remains secure and intact.

In a public notice issued on Wednesday, the Commission said the allegation was linked to claims that followed a recent cyberattack on its system, but clarified that no company records were altered or tampered with.
The CAC described the report as false and misleading, stressing that the integrity of its database remains fully protected.
The Commission further explained that the matter involving DAAR Communications Plc is tied to an ongoing shareholder dispute over the company’s ownership structure, which has been active since 2024.
It noted that a formal complaint had been submitted by one of the shareholders, prompting the Commission to invoke its statutory powers to investigate the issue.
According to the CAC, all parties involved were invited earlier in the year for arbitration proceedings as part of efforts to resolve the dispute.
The Commission urged media organisations to ensure accuracy and balance in reporting, advising journalists to verify information with relevant authorities before publication.
