Speaking at the ceremony, Mc Oluomo expressed joy over the union but emphasised that his daughter desired a peaceful home free from polygamous complications.
He noted that while he himself has experienced a polygamous family structure, he believes younger couples today often prefer a different approach to marriage.
“My daughter is not asking too much. All she wants from her husband is peace of mind and she doesn’t want any co-wife issues in their marriage,” he said.
He further appealed directly to the groom, urging him not to take additional wives and to ensure his daughter enjoys a stable and harmonious home.
Mc Oluomo added that although his own household reflects a polygamous structure, circumstances and perspectives have evolved, especially among younger generations who prefer monogamous relationships.
The emotional message drew attention at the ceremony, highlighting generational differences in marital expectations and family structure.
