An empty tipper truck was left hanging on the railings of Kara Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday morning, while another truck spilled its contents onto the road in a separate incident towards Mowe, Ogun State.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) reported both incidents in a post on its official X account, saying they were observed at about 7am on October 27, 2026.

According to the agency, a tow truck had arrived to evacuate the vehicles, while police officers from Adigboluja were also at the scene.
“An empty tipper is seen hanging on the railings of the bridge and another flatbed truck spilled its contents on the road,” LASTMA stated.
The agency said its officers were managing traffic movement towards Mowe and that traffic flow remained smooth at the time of its report.
LASTMA did not provide further details about what caused the incidents or whether anyone was injured.
In a separate development, the agency reported a loaded DAF lorry that broke down at Shasha Roundabout, towards Akowonjo Roundabout, in Lagos.
The lorry, which reportedly developed mechanical faults, was occupying approximately 70 per cent of the road, potentially affecting traffic movement in the area.
LASTMA said a tow truck had been contacted to remove the vehicle, while traffic officers were managing the situation.
The agency urged motorists to remain alert around affected routes as its personnel worked to address the incidents.

The two reports highlight the potential for vehicle breakdowns and road incidents involving heavy-duty trucks to disrupt traffic along major transport corridors.
