Abass Obesere shocks fans with polygamous marriage to UK-based coach Yinka TNT, with blessing from his first wife Abeni Akande

The Fuji icon, popularly known as Omo Rapala, held an introduction ceremony where his family met with Yinka TNT’s relatives, signalling the start of their union.

The development surprised many followers, as Obesere has been married for decades to Abeni Akande and often portrayed himself as devoted to monogamy, despite the daring themes of his music.

Yinka TNT, the new bride, has defended her choice on social media, stressing that love was at the heart of her decision. She also claimed to have received the approval of Obesere’s first wife.

“No human being in this life will live without one or two problems. But getting married to Obesere and becoming his second wife has already solved part of my problems,” she wrote on her verified page.

The influencer has since shared affectionate photographs with the Fuji legend and announced plans to upload their introduction video to YouTube, promising fans a closer look at their relationship.

News of the marriage has sparked a wave of online reactions, with many expressing astonishment at the flamboyant performer’s decision to formalise a polygamous household.

Known for his electrifying stage presence and provocative lyrics, Obesere rose to prominence in the 1990s, creating a distinctive Fuji style infused with street vernacular and bold storytelling.
