APM legal adviser resignation clarified as party denies membership issues, saying INEC failed to update its records online
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has dismissed concerns over an alleged discrepancy involving its National Legal Adviser, insisting that the official resigned from the party last year and that no internal membership or legal dispute exists.

In a statement addressing recent public attention on the matter, the party explained that the APM legal adviser resignation was properly tendered and acknowledged long before any confusion arose regarding his status.
According to the party, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has yet to update its records on the official website, a delay it described as the source of the misunderstanding rather than any internal crisis within the party.
APM further stated that documentary evidence, including the resignation letter submitted by the former National Legal Adviser, is available for verification.
The party said the letter clearly confirms both his exit from the party and his resignation from the legal advisory role.
The clarification was issued to dispel what it described as “unnecessary speculation” surrounding its leadership structure, stressing that its membership records remain intact and free from dispute.
Party officials maintained that there is no ongoing legal or administrative issue arising from the resignation and urged the public to rely on verified and updated records for accurate information.
