Speaking about the deeply personal decision, Ashmusy said motherhood remains one of the most important goals in her life, adding that repeated disappointments in serious relationships forced her to think differently about her future.
The influencer explained that she had previously entered relationships she genuinely believed would end in marriage, only for them to collapse unexpectedly.
According to Ashmusy, those experiences made her realise that finding the right life partner could take much longer than she had initially imagined.
“I really wanted to secure my future as a mother. Motherhood is very important to me, and I want to be sure that I will become a mum in the future, no matter what happens,” she said.
The Ashmusy freezing eggs revelation has generated conversations online about fertility preservation, modern relationships and the pressures women face around marriage and motherhood.
The influencer said the emotional setbacks also changed her perception of relationships, noting that many men appear promising at first but are not emotionally prepared for marriage.
“That made me understand that finding the right partner might take longer than I expected. Because of that, I decided to secure my future and play safe,” she added.
Ashmusy disclosed that she first became aware of egg freezing after former Big Brother Naija housemate Uriel Oputa publicly spoke about undergoing the procedure years ago.
She explained that the decision stayed in her mind because it appeared to be a practical and empowering choice for women hoping to preserve their fertility options.
The content creator said she later conducted extensive research into the process, consulting medical professionals and studying how egg freezing works before eventually deciding to proceed.
Ashmusy described the process as the extraction and preservation of a woman’s eggs in nitrogen storage until she is ready for conception through IVF or artificial insemination.
Reflecting on the emotional journey, she admitted that approaching the age of 30 without marriage initially caused panic, pressure and fear because she had always imagined settling down earlier in life.
However, she said acceptance eventually brought peace and clarity.
“At first, there was panic, pressure and fear, but eventually I reached a point of acceptance. Once I accepted where I was in life, I found clarity and began to heal,” she said.
The influencer added that the decision has given her a powerful sense of relief and freedom, allowing her to approach relationships without the pressure of racing against time.
“It has given me peace of mind. I feel safe, secure and relaxed now. I can calmly take my time to find the right partner without feeling pressured by age or my biological clock,” she stated.
Beyond discussing motherhood, Ashmusy also reflected on a recent trip to Zambia, where she participated in high-risk adventure activities that challenged her mentally and physically.
She described the experience as transformative, saying it helped her discover a fearless side of herself she never knew existed.
The influencer also credited her mother as the greatest inspiration behind her drive for success, recalling how watching her struggle to raise and provide for the family shaped her ambition from an early age.
Ashmusy further spoke about the pressures of growing up as the first child, explaining that she took on adult responsibilities while still very young.
