Daniel made the declaration on Tuesday while speaking with journalists in Ijebu-Ode on the sidelines of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Otunba Gbenga Daniel Empowerment Programme.
The former Ogun State governor alleged that some political actors were planning to intimidate voters during the APC primary election in the district.
Daniel, however, urged party supporters not to succumb to threats or harassment, describing Ogun East as a constituency that belongs to all members of the APC.
“Without any doubt, in a free and fair primary, I will not just win, I will win overwhelmingly,” Daniel said.
“Go to town and check with the people; ask them questions. You’re here; on your way out, go to the people, ask questions on who’s on the ground.
“What others depend on is that they’re going to do violence and scare people from coming out to vote.
“And that’s why I’m telling our people that they should not be deterred, they should come out and vote.”
The senator urged party faithful to participate massively in the primary election, maintaining that no member of the APC should be denied the right to vote.
Speaking on the Daniel APC Primary contest, the senator also challenged residents to assess his popularity and contributions to the development of Ogun East.
Daniel highlighted several projects linked to his tenure in the National Assembly, including the establishment of the South-West Development Commission, a Naval Base in Ogun Waterside, and the Federal Medical Centre in Ijebu-Ode.
The lawmaker added that he had maintained a strong record of empowering people for more than three decades, even before entering politics.
Daniel also pointed to his administration as Ogun State governor between 2003 and 2011 as evidence of his developmental capacity and leadership credentials.
