The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has appointed German referee Daniel Siebert to officiate the UEFA Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal, scheduled to take place in Budapest on May 30.

Daniel Siebert secures Champions League Final appointment marks a major milestone for the 42-year-old official, who will be taking charge of a UEFA club competition final for the first time since becoming an international referee in 2015.
Siebert has already overseen nine Champions League fixtures this season, including high-profile matches involving Arsenal during their quarter-final clash against Sporting CP and their semi-final encounter with Atlético Madrid.
The experienced referee also brings major tournament pedigree, having officiated at both Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, further underlining UEFA’s confidence in his ability to handle high-pressure fixtures.
For the final, Siebert will be supported by assistant referees Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn, both from Germany, ensuring a fully German officiating team for the decisive encounter.
Bastian Dankert has been appointed to oversee the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) operations, adding another layer of experienced officiating support for the high-stakes match.
