Eso Dike reveals his seven-year struggle to earn his first N1 million as an actor, opening up about the financial hardship behind his Nollywood rise
Nollywood actor and legal practitioner Eso Dike has revealed that it took him more than seven years to earn his first N1 million from acting, opening up about the financial hardship that defined the early years of his career.

Speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Eso Dike said the journey to financial stability in the film industry was slow, uncertain and emotionally demanding.
“It took me more than seven years to make my first one million naira bulk as an actor,” Eso Dike said.
The actor explained that although he appeared successful outwardly, he deliberately hid his personal struggles during that period.
“I am not a portrayer of suffering. So even if I’m suffering, you won’t know,” Eso Dike said, reflecting on the resilience that carried him through the early years of his profession.
Eso Dike, who studied law and was called to the Nigerian Bar, began his acting career with small roles in television series such as Tinsel before gaining wider recognition in productions including *The Smart Money Woman, Game On and Ricordi.
Since then, Eso Dike has become a familiar face in Nollywood, featuring in several commercially successful films and establishing himself as a bankable performer in the industry.
