Speaking after a consultative meeting in Abuja, Archibong emphasized that the state thrives not through uncritical applause but through informed and principled civic participation.
“Akwa Ibom belongs to all of us — it is not the exclusive property of any one individual, party, or administration,” he said. “Every stakeholder has a right and a responsibility to speak up, grounded in facts and genuine concern for our people.”
Archibong distinguished between constructive opposition, which strengthens governance, and destructive criticism aimed at political point-scoring.
He praised the administration for achieving peace, stability, and notable development across the state.
He highlighted ongoing projects, including:
- Educational infrastructure upgrades
- The Ibom Model Farms initiative
- New jetty construction in Oron and shoreline protection works
- Warehouses and cold rooms supporting local fishing and trade
- Akwa-Ibom International Airport upgrade ahead of international flights in April 2026
- Broad road construction programmes
- ARISE Palm Resort, expected to generate ₦20 billion annually
- Senior Citizens Centre commissioned by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu
- Development of new cities across the state
“These are not just projects. They are foundations for a state that can compete globally, attract foreign investment, and encourage our diaspora to return home,” Archibong said.
He also commended the appointment of Raymond Abia, citing his experience in public and private sectors as a strong asset to the administration.
Archibong concluded by reiterating that his support is guided by results. “Where the Governor gets it right, I will say so loudly. Where there is room for improvement, I will speak up through the right channels, in service of our collective progress.”
