TikTok creator Jarvis laments compromising her values for Peller, saying she’s losing public value while he faces no fallout from their online relationship
Nigerian TikTok streamer and content creator Jarvis has voiced her frustration with her partner Peller, hinting at emotional exhaustion and an imbalance in their relationship.

Speaking during a recent live session with fellow streamer Sandra Benede, Jarvis opened up about her experience of compromising her personal values and online brand identity just to accommodate Peller’s preferences.
According to her, she often participates in content and behaviour she dislikes simply to please him.
However, she feels that the public perception of their actions disproportionately affects her image as a woman, while Peller escapes judgment.
“In the beginning, it was difficult accepting his character,” she revealed.
“Now I have tolerated so many things that do not suit my brand, things I don’t like doing, things I haven’t done, but I have done it with him online.”
Jarvis said that even when she objects to certain content ideas before they are published, she’s often persuaded to go along for the sake of love.
But once the videos are posted and public backlash begins, she is the one who bears the brunt.
“Even before we post something online, I complain that I don’t like it. Let’s find something else, but he will beg me and I will do it out of love. And when he posts it, dragging everywhere,” she said.
“Who is losing value? Is it me or him? Na woman go dey lose value now, man dey lose value?” she added, clearly emotional.
The TikTok star also pointed out the societal double standards that women face in relationships and public life.
She noted that while a man like Peller can recover easily from negative public perception or even move on to marry someone else, women are often left with a tarnished reputation.
Jarvis deserves better. You shouldn’t have to shrink yourself for anyone, even in a relationship.
“He can go to his village tomorrow and marry one of his Ikorodu sisters, life moves on. But the lady is the one that will be disgraced,” she said.
Jarvis further addressed the claims that she is in competition with Peller, a rumour she finds frustrating and hurtful.
She expressed disbelief at the idea that she, as a female content creator, should refrain from doing similar things her male partner does simply because of gender expectations.
“They even said I’m doing competition. Like, they feel I am not supposed to do what he does,” she stated.
The emotional tone of her statements suggested that she’s nearing a breaking point in the relationship.
While she didn’t directly confirm a breakup, her reflections made it clear that she’s reconsidering how much she’s willing to sacrifice for the sake of love.
The conversation has sparked discussions online about the mental and emotional toll of public relationships, especially for women in the content creation space.
One fan commented, “Jarvis deserves better. You shouldn’t have to shrink yourself for anyone, even in a relationship.”
Another wrote, “It’s always the woman that gets blamed. Society needs to stop holding women to a different standard.”
