Lagos Airport Fire confirmed at Murtala Muhammed old terminal; FAAN says emergency teams contain blaze with no casualties reported
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has confirmed a fire outbreak at the old terminal of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

Authorities are on site managing the situation.
Henry Agbebire, FAAN’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, said the agency’s emergency response unit is actively working to contain the blaze and prevent further damage.
He reassured the public that no casualties have been reported.
“We are aware of the outbreak, and we are there right now. We will publish a statement immediately. Our firefighting team is currently responding and working to curtail the situation. No loss of lives has been recorded. Further updates will be recorded,” Agbebire stated.

Passengers and airport users have been advised to remain calm while officials fully extinguish the fire and assess the extent of damage to the facility.
