During Thursday’s plenary session, lawmakers outlined key achievements of Tinubu’s government, emphasising economic growth, improved security, and effective governance.
Hon. Tobun Abiodun (Epe I), who initiated the motion, highlighted that Tinubu’s economic policies had begun yielding positive results in less than two years.
He pointed out that the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) had improved significantly, with a strengthening Naira reflecting economic stability.
“Currently, the policies are yielding positive results. The GDP has increased, and the value of the Naira is gradually gaining strength.

There is no more fuel scarcity in the country,” Tobun stated. He urged the federal government to maintain the momentum and continue implementing reforms.
Majority Leader Hon. Adewale Temitope (Ifako-Ijaiye I) commended Tinubu for his proactive leadership, stating that the President was well-prepared before assuming office.
He noted that the reopening of refineries had contributed to the recent drop in Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) prices.
“Tinubu has demonstrated his commitment to the people. His administration is addressing economic concerns and ensuring a stable fuel supply,” Temitope said.

He also praised Tinubu’s dedication to strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) both in Lagos State and across Nigeria.
Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu (Eti-Osa II) acknowledged the President’s ongoing efforts to tackle insecurity, which has shown positive results.
Similarly, Hon. Aro Moshood (Ikorodu II) highlighted Tinubu’s role in increasing the national minimum wage and attracting over $40 million in foreign investment.
He credited the administration with cushioning the effects of fuel subsidy removal through strategic economic interventions.

Speaker Mojisola Meranda expressed confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, stating that while his tenure started with challenges, his policies are now delivering visible progress.
“I know President Tinubu will take us to the Promised Land. His investment in security and economic reforms is paying off,” she said.
