Rotary Club Ojodu project launches solar-powered sickbay at Agidingbi Primary School, promoting children’s health and safety with sustainable energy
Rotary Club Ojodu project has successfully launched a solar-powered sickbay at Agidingbi Primary School, Ikeja, marking the club’s first major initiative of the Rotary year.

The facility provides prompt medical attention for pupils who feel unwell or sustain minor injuries, promoting comfort and preventive care.
The commissioning ceremony welcomed District Governor D9111, Prince Henry Akinyele, and his entourage.
Club President Martins Nnanna, alongside Secretary/President nominee Johnpaul Chigbo and other officials, led the reception.
Headmistress Oseni Fatimah Olasumbo expressed deep gratitude, highlighting the sustainable energy solution and the club’s commitment to student health.
District Governor Akinyele praised the initiative as a bold, life-saving intervention and urged proper maintenance of the facility.
The day included a Board meeting chaired by the District Governor to review ongoing projects, finances, and strategic plans.
The visit concluded with gifts to Ozanam House, Ikeja, a Catholic-run community welfare hub, and tokens of appreciation for the Governor’s team.

Established in 2002 and officially chartered in 2005, Rotary Club Ojodu continues to promote fellowship and impactful community service under the motto Service Above Self, strengthening partnerships and uplifting lives in Ojodu and beyond.
