In a series of emotionally charged Instagram stories shared over the weekend, Sonia revealed personal family struggles, shedding light on the alleged emotional toll the separation has taken on their children. The posts have since gone viral, sparking widespread debate online.
One particularly striking revelation came when Sonia recalled a moment after a recent family outing, during which her children begged her not to share any photos or videos on social media.
“Yesterday, while we were heading home, my kids said to me, ‘Mom, could you please not share the pictures and videos we took?’ I asked why. They said, and I quote, ‘That man will be so mad, he will be jealous that we are doing even better without him,’” she wrote.
Sonia claimed that the children had been emotionally hurt and humiliated in the past and were no longer swayed by their father’s fame or wealth. “Children (abroad ones, for that matter) who’ve been abused and humiliated don’t care about your wealth; once they cancel you, it’s over,” she stated.
She went on to express the burdens she has borne silently, revealing that she has singlehandedly taken care of the children’s well-being, education, and emotional stability.
“Man suppose dey appreciate me every day… If not, these children don’t even know who I am,” she lamented. “Only I can cover up — the kids, their school, social career team, my own family, friends, and his gullible followers.”
In a deeply personal part of her posts, Sonia also opened up about a painful chapter involving her late sister-in-law, who allegedly questioned her motives and doubted she would ever bear children.
She recalled a traumatic childbirth experience, saying she almost died but was sustained by prayers and support from loved ones.
