The results were announced in Abuja by former Senate President and returning officer for the APC Presidential Primary Election, Pius Anyim, during the collation exercise held at the Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre.
According to the declared figures, President Tinubu recorded an overwhelming lead across nearly all states of the federation, comfortably outpacing his sole challenger in what party officials described as a smooth and decisive exercise.
The outcome further strengthens President Tinubu’s grip on the ruling party ahead of the next general election cycle, with party loyalists hailing the result as a powerful endorsement of his leadership and administration.
Supporters at the Abuja collation centre erupted in celebration shortly after the final tally was confirmed, while senior APC figures praised the scale of participation recorded during the nationwide exercise.
Stanley Osifo, the only challenger in the race, acknowledged the completion of the process, although details of any formal response from his campaign were not immediately available as of Sunday evening.
The APC primary was conducted through the party’s direct voting system, allowing registered members across the country’s wards to participate in selecting the party’s presidential candidate.
