The President made the remarks in Abuja on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in a tribute celebrating Rahman’s decades of service, describing him as a steadfast and dependable aide whose contributions have been instrumental to his media and political engagements.

Tinubu said Tunde Rahman demonstrated strong leadership and an extraordinary work ethic during his tenure as Adviser on Media, particularly in the period leading up to the 2023 presidential election, where he played a prominent role as a political liaison and media strategist.

The President also commended Rahman’s professional background as a journalist and newspaper editor, noting that he consistently applied his craft to promote public good and social justice.

He added that Rahman’s advice and counsel have remained sincere and free from hidden motives, describing him as a reliable figure within his inner circle.

In a message of goodwill, the President prayed for continued good health and wisdom for the celebrant, expressing confidence in his capacity for greater service to the nation and humanity.
