Vector rejects church buildings, saying spirituality is personal and exists within the individual rather than a physical edifice
Nigerian rapper Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector, has publicly stated that he does not believe in church as a physical building but views it instead as something that exists within a person.

Olanrewaju Ogunmefun made the remarks during a recent interview in which the artiste discussed his personal understanding of spirituality and religion.
Olanrewaju Ogunmefun explained that he does not subscribe to denominational divisions and considers the idea of church to be spiritual and individual rather than institutional.
“I actually don’t believe in church as an edifice or as a building, but I believe in church as a human being, because at the end, even the Bible points that the church is in your heart,” Olanrewaju Ogunmefun said.
The musician further elaborated on his interpretation of the concept of the kingdom of God, attempting to reference scripture to support his view.
“Behold, if the people that tells you that the kingdom is in the sky, then the birds precede you. If they say it is in the water, then the fish precede you.
Rather, the kingdom is both inside of you and outside of you,” Olanrewaju Ogunmefun added.
The comments have since sparked conversation on social media, with some applauding the introspective stance while others defended the traditional role of church institutions in Christian worship.
Olanrewaju Ogunmefun has previously spoken about faith and philosophy in interviews, often blending social commentary with personal reflection.
