NINAuth platform has officially gone live nationwide as the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) completed the integration of all telecom operators into its upgraded identity verification system.

The new NINAuth platform—built in-house by NIMC—promises enhanced data protection, smoother SIM-related services, and greater digital trust.
This development follows weeks of disruptions that saw major telecoms like MTN, Airtel, Glo, and 9mobile suspend SIM registration, swaps, and number porting due to migration issues.
Director of IT/IDD at NIMC, Lanre Yusuf, confirmed that the operators are now fully integrated, ensuring uninterrupted access to identity verification services. He described it as a milestone in securing Nigeria’s digital identity landscape.
Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, emphasized that the platform hands back control of personal data to Nigerians, a shift designed to promote transparency and accountability.
NIMC encouraged users facing lingering SIM issues to contact their network providers directly.
