Bola Tinubu firmly denounces false reports of a US visit, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to religious tolerance and international diplomacy

Ajayi clarified via the President’s official X handle that if Bola Tinubu were to visit the United States, he would meet with President Donald Trump, not the Vice President. The false report, published by Sahara Reporters, had sparked unnecessary speculation and social media debate.
“The story is completely untrue and has led to uninformed commentaries. If President Tinubu goes to the White House, it will be to meet the President, not the Vice President,” Ajayi stated.
Bola Tinubu has also reiterated that Nigeria remains committed to religious freedom and equality. He emphasised that external narratives portraying the nation as intolerant of Christians are inaccurate and do not reflect the country’s diverse reality.
Since 2023, Bola Tinubu’s administration has actively engaged leaders across faiths to ensure peace and tackle insecurity.
The President stressed that Nigeria’s constitutional guarantees safeguard citizens of all religions, and the government continues to collaborate with international partners to protect communities.
