Boye Oloyede exits Daystar after decades of service, as Nike Adeyemi leads emotional prayers for his family and new vision

The emotional moment unfolded during the church’s second service, which was largely dedicated to prayers for Pastor Boye Oloyede, Tiwa Oloyede and their children as they prepared to step into full-time leadership consultancy.
Pastor Nike Adeyemi wept openly while praying for the couple, describing their departure as both significant and deeply personal. The congregation observed quietly as she committed their future endeavours into prayer.
Pastor Boye Oloyede has been a member of Daystar Christian Centre since 1999. He began his journey in the ministry as Personal Assistant to the Senior Pastor, Sam Adeyemi, and steadily rose through the ranks to become the most senior pastor after the Co-Senior Pastors.
Tiwa Oloyede, née Adeyemi, is the younger sister of Pastor Sam Adeyemi. Pastor Boye Oloyede met and married Tiwa while serving closely with the Adeyemi family, with the couple’s wedding superintended by Pastor Sam Adeyemi and Pastor Nike Adeyemi.
Sunday’s farewell carried added emotional weight given the long-standing personal and spiritual ties between the families.
Pastor Sam Adeyemi led prayers for the couple’s success and the fulfilment of their vision, describing the transition as a bold new chapter rather than a departure born of discord.
Church members responded with a standing ovation as the Oloyedes received prayers and words of affirmation.
Many described the moment as powerful and historic, marking the close of more than two decades of dedicated service within the ministry.

Although Boye Oloyede exits Daystar to chart a new course, leaders of the church emphasised that the relationship remains cordial and rooted in shared values.
