Nigerian singer Lil Kesh has strongly condemned the viral Igbinedion School bullying incident involving students of Igbinedion Education Centre, describing the footage as upsetting and emotionally triggering.

The disturbing video, which spread widely on social media, showed two male students repeatedly beating and kicking another student who had fallen to the ground while several other students watched.

At one point in the clip, one of the attackers dragged the victim by his school suit and stomped on his chest as the boy cried in pain.

A third student who recorded the incident could also be heard pleading with the attackers to stop.

The footage sparked widespread outrage online after it was shared by a social media user, prompting sharp condemnation from many Nigerians.

Reacting to the video, Lil Kesh said watching the incident brought back painful memories of being bullied during his childhood.

“This is honestly really triggering for me to watch because I got bullied when I was younger and seeing these kids gang up on other kids makes me mad,” the singer wrote.

He added that children who bully others often struggle with empathy and personal insecurities.

“What’s sad is it’s always the kids with the least empathy, low self esteem and insecurities picking on the ones who actually have a heart,” he said.

Lil Kesh also urged parents to raise children who value compassion and respect for others.

“Parents really need to raise their kids to care about other people, because this kind of behaviour doesn’t just come out of nowhere. It’s upsetting to watch,” he added.

Following the backlash, the Edo State Police Command confirmed that the students directly involved in the incident had been expelled by the school management.

Police spokesperson Eno Ikioyedem said the state Commissioner of Police, Monday Agbonika, had ordered the Divisional Police Officer in the area to carry out a full investigation.

“The Edo State Police Command totally condemns acts of bullying, violence or intimidation among students, and anyone found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law,” the statement said.
