Jim Iyke's Modern Feminism Criticism

In a candid interview with The EchoRoom, the 48-year-old actor praised early feminism for tackling patriarchy and promoting gender equity.

However, he claimed the modern version has lost its purpose and now “borders on criminality.”

“I consider it a crime, a kind of assault,” Iyke declared, alleging that the ideology was initially crafted by a women’s magazine to boost sales.

When men and women work together, that’s when true balance is achieved.

According to him, the campaign was designed to appeal to female readers by encouraging them to challenge traditional gender roles.

But over time, he said, it escalated into an ideology that promotes competition rather than cooperation between men and women.

Iyke accused the movement of embracing double standards and called it “two-faced,” arguing that it discourages true gender balance and harmony.

“When men and women work together, that’s when true balance is achieved,” he stressed.
