Abuja billionaire killed by son after alleged argument over allowance at Guzape residence, police sources say
Chief Godwin Ademike, a prominent Abuja businessman and property owner, was allegedly stabbed to death by his biological son following a heated argument at the family residence in Guzape, Abuja, on Friday, May 15, 2026.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred at the businessman’s residence located on Hassan Adamu Street in the highbrow district of Guzape.
According to accounts surrounding the case, the disagreement allegedly began after the son confronted Chief Ademike over financial support and demanded an increase in his allowance.
Sources familiar with the matter claimed the accused compared his lifestyle to that of friends from other wealthy families and questioned why he was not receiving more luxury benefits despite his father’s status as a billionaire businessman.
The Abuja billionaire killed by son case has since generated widespread reactions due to the shocking family circumstances surrounding the alleged attack.
Witness accounts alleged that Chief Ademike accused his son of recklessly managing funds from parts of the family’s real estate business entrusted to him.
The confrontation reportedly escalated in the presence of two women said to have been with the suspect at the time.
During the altercation, the suspect allegedly picked up a knife and stabbed his father multiple times.
Chief Ademike was subsequently rushed to Karu General Hospital, where medical personnel confirmed him dead.
The late businessman was said to own several luxury properties across Lagos and Abuja, including assets in Lekki, Maitama and Guzape.
Police authorities have reportedly taken the suspect into custody as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the killing.
Officials are yet to release a formal statement detailing possible charges or confirming additional aspects of the incident.
