ADMARP appoints Zion Rufus as Vice President for Communications and Events, reinforcing its focus on credibility and strategic storytelling
The Association of Digital Marketing Professionals, ADMARP, on 11 December 2025 in Lagos appointed Zion Rufus, Senior Brand and Content Strategist at Livespot360, as Vice President, Communications and Events for the 2026 administrative year, a move that signals a decisive shift towards clarity, credibility and strategic storytelling within Nigeria’s digital marketing ecosystem.
ADMARP appoints Zion Rufus following an open community recommendation process and a rigorous review by the outgoing Executive Council, underscoring the Association’s commitment to merit led leadership and professional excellence.
Zion Rufus is an award winning communications professional whose career blends journalistic discipline, brand intelligence and emotionally resonant storytelling.
Currently serving at Livespot360, Nigeria’s leading 360 degree creative solutions company, Zion Rufus has built a strong reputation for translating complex business objectives into compelling content systems that deliver measurable impact and long term brand affinity.
Over the course of her career, Zion Rufus has worked across marketing communications, trade journalism and digital strategy, shaping narratives for more than 500 brands and organisations.
Her portfolio includes assignments for global and regional institutions, including the United Nations SDG Book Club Namibia Chapter, alongside a broad mix of corporate, consumer and cultural brands.
Her grounding in journalism remains a defining strength. Before joining Livespot360, Zion Rufus held senior roles across the media and marketing landscape, including Associate Editor at Marketing Edge Publications, Creative Director for MMA2’s Gate B2 Airport Magazine and Digital Content Officer at ADMARP.
That experience gives her a rare insider understanding of the Association’s mission, structure and evolving role within the industry.
This depth of experience has earned Zion Rufus notable industry recognition.
She is a recipient of Marketing Journalist of the Year at the Nigerian Marketing Awards and Brand Journalist of the Year by the Advertisers Association of Nigeria, honours that reflect both her writing craft and strategic influence.
Beyond corporate communications, Zion Rufus is also a published author. Her books, Diary of a Lagos Girl and Diary of a Career Gold Digger, explore modern Nigerian life, ambition and identity with cultural sharpness and insight, reinforcing her ability to connect with audiences on a human level.
In her new role, Zion Rufus will oversee ADMARP’s external voice, strengthen stakeholder engagement and align the Association’s messaging with its mandate to advance professional standards, ethical practice and continuous learning in digital marketing.
The position also places her at the centre of efforts to reinforce ADMARP’s credibility as a globally aligned industry body.
She joins a five member Executive Council led by President Elizabeth Anuoluwapo Ogunseye, Manager, Product and Lifestyle Marketing at Sterling Bank.
Other members of the 2026 Council include Adetunji Adelekan as Vice President, Learning and Development, Lekan Lawal as Vice President, Membership, and Ireti Anu Akiwumi as Vice President, Finance.
Outgoing ADMARP President Stanislaus Martins described the incoming leadership team as the very best of Nigeria’s digital marketing talent, noting that their collective experience positions the Association for a new phase of innovation and industry impact.
With this appointment, Zion Rufus is expected to play a pivotal role in redefining how ADMARP tells its story to members, regulators, partners and the wider business community.
