‘Appointed!’ Buhari instates 3 INEC National Commissioners

Three National Commissioners of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), have been sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari .

Dr Baba Bila, who represents the North-East zone, Professor Sani Adam, who represents the North-Central zone, and Professor Abdullahi Abdu, who represents the North-West zone, are among those present.

The swearing-in took place in the conference room of the First Lady’s office at the State House on Wednesday, immediately before the start of the Federal Executive Council meeting.

On September 15, 2021, several of INEC’s newly sworn-in National Commissioners gathered with other commission officials in the State House.

Physically present are Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.

Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture, Abubakar Malami, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, and Suleiman Adamu, the Minister of Water Resources, Zainab Ahmed, the Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning; Babtunde Fashola, the Minister of Works and Housing; and Rauf Aregbeshola, the Minister of the Interior are also present.

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan and other Ministers are attending virtually from their various offices in Abuja.
