The footage, which has circulated widely on social media, shows the cleric speaking in a mosque environment while making inflammatory remarks and calling on members of the public to carry out the act in exchange for money.
In the same video, he is seen displaying cash while insisting the reward could be increased, further intensifying public concern over the seriousness of the threat.
A distressed female voice, also featured in the recording, condemned the message and questioned the response of security agencies, including the Department of State Services, urging immediate intervention to prevent escalation.
She criticised the alleged remarks, describing them as dangerous and irresponsible, and compared the situation to historical accounts of targeted religious persecution.
The woman also raised concerns about poverty and hardship, arguing that such funds could have been directed towards humanitarian support rather than alleged incitement.
In a follow-up clip, the cleric reportedly doubled down on his statement, insisting that the reward would be paid to anyone who carries out the act and warning of possible unrest in the region.
The viral nature of the videos has heightened anxiety online, with many users calling for urgent investigation and action to prevent potential violence.
As of the time of filing this report, no official statement has been issued by the Department of State Services or other relevant security authorities regarding the incident.
