Victor Osimhen Galatasaray transfer blocked by Napoli, despite the Turkish club meeting the €75m release clause. Striker refuses move to Saudi Arabia

Napoli have rejected a €75m offer from Galatasaray for Victor Osimhen, despite the bid matching the official release clause in the striker’s contract.

This latest development was revealed by Nigerian journalist and transfer insider Onyebuchi Onokala, popularly known as Buchi Laba.

According to him, Napoli are actively pushing Osimhen towards a more lucrative move to Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal.

“Napoli officially turns down Galatasaray €75m third offer for Victor Osimhen. The official Release clause Figure,” Onokala posted on X on Thursday.

The 26-year-old striker reportedly approved a permanent transfer to Galatasaray following a positive loan spell.

However, Napoli have declined the Turkish club’s bid, demanding an outright payment rather than structured instalments.

“Victor James Osimhen says YES to Galatasaray and wants to continue with the Turkish team,” Onokala added, confirming the striker’s preference.

Despite Napoli’s insistence, sources close to the player maintain that he has no interest in relocating to Saudi Arabia and has already communicated his stance to the club’s board.

“Osimhen has made it very, very clear that he wants to leave,” Onokala emphasised.

Tensions have escalated as Osimhen reportedly plans to skip pre-season training under new manager Antonio Conte. The striker remains firm in his desire to continue playing in Europe.

While Galatasaray lead the race, Napoli’s rejection has stalled the move. Premier League clubs have also cooled their interest.

Arsenal have shifted focus, and Manchester United are now pursuing Bryan Mbeumo, citing Osimhen’s wage demands and preference for Galatasaray.
